I have been brewing on the concept of an album of all music by the Hungarian composer Béla Bartók, through the prism of the American string band. We laid down the first tracks in Nashville in April (and actually got some press at that time). The first session was with Ryan Drickey and the Matt Flinner Trio (including the great Ross Martin and Eric Thorin).

The new record was produced by Matt Flinner and features Ryan Drickey (violin), Greg Schochet (guitars and mandolin),Eric Thorin (bass), Matt Flinner (mandolin), Adam Aijala (guitar) and myself on 5-string banjo.
