The amazing Gyan Riley has a week-long residency at John Zorn's legendary club The Stone in New York City this summer, and he has asked me to put together a special incarnation of the Quintet for the world premiere of his composition Stumble Smooth. We obviously worked it up for the recording, but this will be the first time we have performed this burly work.
